Howdy-do, Fiddle Friends!

Welcome to Old Man Fiddler's Cabin!

It's good that you folks could set a spell or two here in me humble house! (Ptui!) Pleasure to git ta know you!

Now, in these here pages, we're gonna show you all the people, all the places, all the events, and practically ALL the merrymakin' what goes with playin' a fiddle --- and, fer that matter, jest about every stringed instrument what ye can play with a bow! Our mission's purty simple: seein' as fiddle music and all its related arts an' skills are what this here website's all about, we're here to do no less'n start up a non-stop fiddle ruckus!

And not only that, as ye visits me Cabin, ye'll also be learnin' a little bit more about World Fiddle DayLaunched in Dublin, Ireland by one Caoimhin Mac Aoidh, a wise young fiddler from County Donegal, and now finding bigger success in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, World Fiddle Day is an all-day, all-night, all-inclusive, worldwide hoedown where fiddle players of all sizes, descriptions and genres spend a whole day literally fiddlin' themselves silly! (Hee-hee-hee!)

This here site's just settin' up, but by the time we finish things up around here, we'll have us some links to Solo Fiddlers, Bands w/Fiddlers, U.S. and Canadian Fiddle Contests, U.S. and Canadian Fiddle Associations, Fiddle Resources, Bluegrass Festivals in the U.S. and Canada --- and lots, lots more!

And soon as yer done here, join us over at th' Facebook version of the Cabin! Or else, e-mail us yer fiddle ideas, comments, thoughts --- or jest say Howdy-do! to us. We'll respond with a merry "Whang-a-doodle!" (That's what we Fiddlers say when somethin' makes us absolutely very happy!)
